JEE Main 2019 Question Paper

The JEE Main 2019 exam was conducted by NTA in a computer-based online test from Jan 9 to 12 in two shifts – morning and evening shifts (9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm). The questions papers have three sections namely Maths, Physics, and Chemistry carrying 30 questions each. Overall there are 90 questions which are multiple-choice objective type questions. The paper pattern of JEE Main 2019 question paper was almost similar to that of the last year. A total of 90 questions (4 marks each) were asked based on the syllabus prescribed by NTA for Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects.

What type of questions are asked in JEE Main paper?

Normally in JEE Main, the questions that are asked are in a multiple-choice or objective format. Candidates need not write and explain their answers. Besides, four options are provided as possible answers wherein candidates have to select the correct answer. The question paper is based on both the English and Hindi medium. Candidates can change the medium at any point. However, candidates who are from Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli can also opt for Gujarati as well.

What is the examination mode of JEE Main?

JEE Main exam is conducted mainly through an online mode where the exam is held as a computer-based test. Paper-1 is entirely held in a computer-based mode whereas Paper-2 including Mathematics and Aptitude Test is computer-based while the Drawing exam is Pen and Paper-based.
