The Railway Recruitment Board conducts recruitment for the post of Junior Engineer in Indian Railways and each year the number of candidates appearing for the exam has seen a massive seen. The RRB JE Exam Pattern consists of the following 4 stages:

  1. First Stage of CBT
  2. Second Stage of CBT
  3. Document Verification / Medical Examination
  4. Final Selection

*Note: It is important for candidates to pass all the stages in order to pass the RRB JE recruitment process. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in CBT Stage- I and CBT Stage -II.

RRB JE Exam – Document Verification:

Once the candidates pass both the stages of the CBT, they will be called in for the document verification stage, where these documents will prove the eligibility of the candidates. The original, as well as two self-attested copies, must be carried by the candidates on the day of the Document Verification. The following are the list of documents that must be produced during the process:

Receipt of payment in case of an SBI Challan or Post Office payment Proves the candidate has paid the fee offline
Self-certification by Transgender Proves that the candidate identifies as a transgender

Decree of divorce or judicial separation and Affidavit mentioning the candidate has not remarried Proves that the candidates is divorced and has not remarried after the divorce
Death Certificate and Affidavit mentioning the candidate has not remarried Proves that the candidate is a widow and has not remarried after the death of the spouse.

Salient points to be kept in mind are:

  • The Educational Qualification Certificate/ Decrees must have the date of issue.
  • In case the documents are in other languages other than Hindi or English, then a translated version must be produced instead. Only self-attested and translated copies of the documents will be accepted
  • Candidates must submit the documents during the time of verification. No extension of dates is allowed by the RRB.

RRB JE Exam – Medical Examination:

Candidates who are called for the document verification process will have to pass the requisite medical fitness tests conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board. These tests are conducted in order to ensure that the candidates being recruited are medically fit to carry out the duties related to the posts that are opted by them.

Once the candidates successfully qualify the medical examination and document verification process, the board releases RRB JE result i.e. the final list of candidates shortlisted for RRB JE examination.
